Hendrix Licks and Celestial 6ths on Leonard Cohen's "Bird on a Wire"

Lesson description: This rendition of the Leonard Cohen classic started as a straight ahead, vocal melody to guitar/spaghetti-western type thing. However, due to the leisurely tempo it didn't quite work.

So, I went back for a 2nd pass at it, adding sliding 6ths, and selected Hendrix doublestops at opportune moments, and voilà! It blossomed into something beautiful and special. Then, I added Bobby Metzger's perfectly Knopfler-esque guitar solo from the "Cohen Live" album, and now it's a pure joy to play!
