Stevie Nicks "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around"

Lesson description: This intersection of Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers with Fleetwood Mac is one of my favorite tunes from the 80s. It's one of the stand out tracks on Stevie Nicks's first solo record, which happens to have some other killer songs as well. I highly recommend it for a retro good time!

This version starts with Mike Campbell's understated and tasteful opening solo and then morphs into one of my Haugen™ style gritifications. The first half of the verse has a ZZ Top "La Grange" feel, then it moves up the octave into a funkier thing, before blossoming into a series of harmonized thirds following Stevie and Tom's vocal melody. Fun stuff!
