The Byrds "Eight Miles High"

Lesson description: Here's a jangle-fied rendition of the The Byrds classic "Eight Miles High." It all started with transcribing Roger McGuinn's iconic opening lick, and then modifying it to make it more solid and less free-jazzy, a.k.a. playable for we who are not Roger.

Notice the use of arpeggiation and crosspicking to get the notes to bump into each other. This sort of harp-type thing sounds cool on regular guitar, and on 12 string it's absolutely rapturous!
