Lesson description: I often get asked for clarification on what exactly I mean when I say "sixth." This arrangement began as my reply.
A "sixth" can be a chord, but when I use the term I am usually referring to an interval--the distance between two notes. In this example, I take Jeff Tweedy's vocal melody and harmonize it in parallel sixths. As the main note moves, so too does the lower note. It always stays six notes below, hence the term "sixth."
Plus, this song is real pretty and nice to play.
