Lesson description: One of my favorite things to do with guitar is to take a few simple motifs from a great artist's catalog, and really spend some time with them. I'll move the little ideas to different keys, different string groupings, and different contexts, all in an effort more fully absorb the ideas, and then ultimately make them my own.
In this lesson, I focus on Mark Knopfler--his right hand approach to rhythm and lead. I grabbed a few nuggets from the first Dire Straits record, chopped them up, and moved them around to create this snappy exercise.
