Things To Do With a Delay Pedal

Lesson description: The aim of this little infotainment is to give you some food for thought as to what to do with a delay pedal, a most mysterious and useful gadget.

Here are the ways I utilized one in this clip:

  1. Swung eighth notes. Really cool for getting that ominous, droney Pink Floyd thing. You just gotta watch out that you get the timing right with the track.
  2. Slow, Quiet Guitar Hero Trails. This is the way I use it most often. If you get the mix just right, it fattens up your solos for maximum face-meltivity.
  3. Classic Rockabilly Slapback. A quick, short delay that's almost right on top of the note. Great for classic rockabilly and reggae.
