Lesson description: I'd been meaning to work out an arrangement of this amazing track for a while now. Curtis Mayfield is one of my favorite soul/funk artists. His thoughtful take on things is always a unique perspective. Lyrically, this song is not exactly apropos for what's currently going on here in the states, but it does shine a light on the black experience. And that's something, admittedly, I know not too much about.
