David Gilmour "There's No Way Out of Here"

Lesson description: This one came recommended by one of my long-time earliest supporters, Pete, in Ireland. He hipped me to the Iron & Wine version featuring Ben Bridwell, which led me to check out the original Gilmour track. So good! Pete was right! it was a very rewarding process to put this one together.

There's some good tricks in here: 3rds, 6ths, harmonics as melodic devices, and a vicious stingy little solo at the end. If you watch, that's me diggin' in deep on those notes. I was thinking of this Miles Davis quote: ".....The note is only 20 percent. The attitude of the motherf*#cker who plays it is 80 percent.....”
