You Can Achieve Cool Hendrix Licks With All Downstrokes

Lesson description: The mission here was to demonstrate just how much you can do with all downstrokes. This is part of my crusade to get all guitar players to slow down, and play more soulfully.

The idea came to me as I was watching some of the Hendrix at Woodstock footage for the millionth time. His picking hand position is so close to the neck, and his hand is so far below the strings that it makes upstrokes nearly impossible!

I spent a couple weeks ruminating, fiddling about, and seeing what I could do coming from that perspective--it's really interesting just how much you can in fact achieve!
